Married At First Sight (MAFS) fans have rallied around Scott McCristal a second time after Gia Fleur ditched him and the experiment AGAIN following the Final Test. Are we surprised? No. But we’re a bit sad for Scotty boy.
This article contains Married At First Sight 2026 spoilers. You’ve been warned.
Only just days before Final Vows, Gia and Scott McCristal‘s relationship officially imploded when the 35-year-old disability worker decided to walk from the experiment following the Final Test.
Although you’d think she would’ve left with Scott — considering the fact that she said “I love you” first to him — the 33-year-old was left alone at a bar after Gia gave him an ultimatum: leave with her or stay and be alone.
Ultimately, Scott decided to stay, with Gia coldly wishing him the best.
“I’m alright, but I’m not alright. I don’t know what to think,” Scott shared with producers before admitting that it felt like his “heart has been pulled out of my chest.”

Rubbing more salt into Scott’s wounds, when he returned to the apartment, Scott found Gia’s wedding band on their counter, solidifying her decision to run away (for the 50th time).
“I don’t know what to do anymore,” Scott shared.

While Gia shared that the reason behind her abrupt departure was the “pressure”, fans speculated that she reaaaaalllly left because of the Final Test and her alternative match.

When it was time to watch back the Final Test, Scott broke down into tears seeing Gia and her match, James Brady, get along. Things got even worse when Gia admitted that she wants to be a “trophy wife” and that dates guys who pay for her stuff.
Shit truly hit the fan when Bec Zacharia took James’ number on Gia’s behalf.
“That’s actually embarassing,” Scott said regarding Gia’s question about James’ finances before coming to the conclusion that she left because of the Final Test.
“This is my answer. I feel sorry for you, Gia, but we’re done… she’s just fucked me over.”

Married At First Sight fans react to Gia Fleur’s exit from the experiment
Fans were initially unmoved, unsurprised, and unwowed by Gia’s decision to leave, especially because she’s pulled this move multiple times.
However, just like Sunday night’s episode, fans mostly rallied around Scott for how he reacted to Gia’s Final Test.
Unfortunately, for Scott, it looks like the Gia rodeo isn’t over, as the next teaser suggests that this diva is back for the season’s final Dinner Party.
We will be sat like we’re there.
