Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 has yet to cop a trailer, cast list or premiere date. However, the reality TV rumour mill is already in overdrive with a shit tonne of reported scandals that are set to rock the experiment, including a storyline involving a bride’s ex-lover.
From leaked cast members and a couple reportedly coping the axe, paparazzi and gossip sleuths are working overtime to gather all the MAFS tea ahead of next year’s shebang.
Most recently, Daily Mail Australia has shared a mammoth tea spill on rumoured scandals and drama we can expect to see in 2026.
But before delving into the delectable MAFS tea, please remember that these rumours have yet to be confirmed, so please take it with a grain of salt.
OK? Let’s jump right in.

According to MAFS spies, audiences can expect to see a “shocking” ex-lover scandal that’ll truly shake up the reality TV experiment, giving us that sweet, sweet chaos we crave.
Per the publication, the rumoured “twist” is set to take place during one of the infamous MAFS dinner parties after one bride is accused of sleeping with their ex after quietly flying back to their home mid-season.
“It’s the ultimate betrayal of the experiment,” the insider told Daily Mail Australia.
“If it is true, it’ll blow the show wide open.”
The insider adds the rumour has already circulated amongst the cast and has “poisoned” friendship groups within the upcoming batch, adding that “no one knows who to trust”.
Alongside this saucy behind-the-scenes tea, insiders also told the publication that a fiery feud between incoming brides, Gia Fleur and Rebecca Zacharia, has producers scrambling.
Daily Mail Australia reports that the tiff between the brides kicked off from episode one, where Rebecca was reportedly overheard calling Gia a “trashy slut” during the hen’s party while being buddy-buddy to her in front of the cameras.

“It was the two-facedness of it that lit the fuse,” an insider told the publication.
“By the time cameras rolled for their first big group event, the tension was humming.
“They made up briefly, but the truce never lasted. Every time they patched things up, another lie or betrayal would come out.”
And if one rumoured feud wasn’t enough, apparently there’s beef between fellow brides, Brooke Compton and Stella (whose real name is Aiste Mickunaite), which reportedly stemmed from a confrontation about Brooke’s personality.
“Stella told Brook that she came across as cold and fake, right there in front of everyone,” a source who claimed to have witnessed the rift told the publication.
“You could have heard a pin drop.”
Meanwhile, tea surrounding a villain groom and mass walkouts have already begun to surface, which is honestly like clockwork since these two pieces of gossip always come out months before the season’s premiere.
Per the publication, the groom, who is hinted to be worse than Harrison Boon, is already gearing up for that darn “villain edit”.
As for the routine MAFS mass exodus, insiders claimed that “filming days have been nuked because the cast vanished”.
“This group is the most unruly we’ve had in years. It’s carnage,” a source who claims to be a crew member told Daily Mail Australia.
Look, we’ve still got a couple of months before we get to sink our teeth into the drama that’s MAFS 2026. But if you can’t hold off that long, rumour has it that The Block (also on Nine) will begin to roll out MAFS-like dinner parties.
