Mae Wa National Park in Thoen district of Lampang province is best known for its namesake waterfall. Soon, however, more people will see it as a destination for trail runners. On July 14, the park will be the venue of the Mae Wa Minimal Trail 2019.
The event will include races of four distances: 5km, 14km, 29km and 43km. Elevation gains in each contest are, respectively, as follows: 200m, 670m, 1,040m and 1,080m. The two longest races start at 6am, and the other two 15 minutes later.
Runners who finish within the time limit will be awarded a medal. Only those who complete the 43km run will receive the Finisher T-shirt.
You can register online at bit.ly/2I4sAfF (by May 31) or in person at the Lampang office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (until June 10)
