MADURAI: The Madras high court on Monday reserved orders on the bail plea of an aided school headmaster (HM) who was arrested for sexually harassing women teachers.
Justice K Murali Shankar reserved the orders on the bail plea filed by G Joseph Jeyaseelan. The petitioner was arrested by the Madurai all women police on April 23. The petitioner was booked under sections of the IPC, Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act and Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act.
According to the prosecution, two teachers had complained against the petitioner stating that he had sexually harassed them. The petitioner denied all the allegations and said that a false case was registered against him. He stated that he was not involved in any offence as alleged.
