Madonna says she wants to breathe in “Covid-19 air” after testing negative for coronavirus.
The “Holiday” singer says she has the right antibodies to protect her from contracting the disease.
“I took a test the other day”, the 61-year-old said on a video posted to her Instagram. “And I found out that I have the antibodies so tomorrow I’m just going to go on a long drive in a car, roll down the windows and I’m going to breathe in the Covid-19 air.”
She continued: “I hope the sun is shining. I have not been wanting to write lately but that does not mean I’m not thinking, thinking about what I want to write or want to say.”
The star went on to discuss how actions are more important than words before she jokingly began talking to her candle.
She said: “You must now go to bed, you naughty little candle.”
The CDC says it is still unclear whether antibodies will make you immune to the virus or prevent you from getting infected again.
In a previous Instagram post, the singer opened up about how she had lost her cousin along with two friends amid the outbreak.
Madonna, who didn’t specify if they died of Covid-19, shared the tragic news on Instagram with a video captioned “Quarantine day 9”, in which she was sat at a desk typing on a type-writer.
“In the last 24 hours, my cousin has died, my security guard’s brother has died,” she said, “and Orlando Puerta, a very important person who played an important part in my life.”
Last month, the “Like a Virgin” singer donated $1m (£800m) to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, in order to help create a vaccine for coronavirus.
In March, Madonna called coronavirus “the great equaliser” in a sombre nude video taken in the bath.
In the clip, the pop icon could be seen sitting in a milky bathtub filled with rose petals, while she remarked that the pandemic doesn’t care if you are rich or poor.
