Madonna says Nick Kamen's death 'breaks her heart' as she pays loving tribute

Madonna said Nick Kamen's death has broken her heart in a poignant tribute.

News of Nick's death rocked the showbiz world to its core on Tuesday after the star battled an illness.

Now Madonna has shared some kind words about the model following the news of his tragic death at age 59.

The singer remembered her friend as a "kind sweet human" in her final goodbye.

In a heartfelt note, she wrote: "It breaks my heart to know you are gone.

"You were always such a kind sweet human and you suffered too much. Hope you are happier wherever you are Nick Kamen."

Alongside her sweet message, Madonna shared a photograph of the pair together.

She shared her heartache with her 15.9million followers on social media.

Also, the songstress shared a wheel of photographs of the model in his hey day.

Madonna joined the celebrity tributes, including a thoughtful tribute by Boy George, flooding social media for the late star.

Nick, whose real name was Ivor Neville Kamen, was considered a protege of Madonna.

First he was propelled to fame in a 1985's Levis 501 commercial where he stripped off his blue jeans in a busy launderette.

The model caught Madonna's eye and she got in touch for the pair to collaborate on hit Each Time You Break My Heart.

Each Time You Break My Heart soared to number five in the UK charts as it become an instant success.

Nick followed the success with a cover hit Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever.

Once Madonna had said she was inspired by Nick's "charisma” and “beautiful voice” in a BBC interview.

They were romantically linked at the time but the couple denied they were anything more than friends, according to The Telegraph.
