Madonna's children Rocco and Lourdes unite at art launch after singer's naked NFT videos

By Hana Carter

Madonna's two eldest children put on a united display after the controversial singer stunned fans with naked NFT videos.

Model Lourdes Leon paid tribute to her brother Rocco Ritchie as he showed off his latest art exhibition.

The 25-year-old, who looks the double of her famous mum, shared a cute snap of her hugging her sibling in front of one of Rocco's expressionist paintings.

"My brother is f****** fabulous," penned Lourdes as she tagged his art Instagram in the story.

Rocco, who goes by the name of Rhed for his work, was looking dapper for the occasion dressed in a velvet burgundy suit with a bright red tie.

He has always been a fan of vintage, so with that in mind he teamed his retro outfit with a pair of black velvet loafers.

The son of Madonna and Guy Ritchie, 21, has quietly established himself as an expressionist painter and has held three exhibitions at the Chelsea art gallery, Tanya Baxter Contemporary since 2018.

He studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal Drawing School and now his work sells for an impressive five figures.

It's not just Lourdes who has been openly supportive of Rocco - proud mum Madonna took to Instagram to share photos of some of her son's work.

Wearing a daring all black leather ensemble and a biker's cap she posed in front of the oil paintings.

The singer captioned her post: "Anyone who knows me knows my passion for painting and ART—so you can imagine how proud I am to share some of my Son Rocco’s paintings with you!! He goes by the name RHED! @maisonrhed."

As well as Rocco, Madonna is also mum to Lourdes, 25, David Banda, 16, Mercy James, 16, and twins Estere and Stella Ciccone, nine.

It seems it's not just Rocco who is breaking into the art industry, as Madonna made her NFT debut this week.

In the videos she is transformed into a totally naked avatar of herself and appears to give birth to trees and other creepy crawlies.

The singer said that she had "been doing what women had always done" - give birth - but for Madonna that included giving birth to robot centipedes and butterflies.

The images sparked a huge backlash with fans calling her "desperate for attention" and "creepy" on Twitter.

The collection includes a 3D print of her genitals and proceeds from the sale will be given to three charities: National Bail Out, V-Day and Voices of Children.

NFT stands for non-fungible tokens and is a piece of art which is digital and totally unique.

It's also non transferrable and cannot be duplicated - which makes them limited and rare.

Explaining the collection, Madonna said: "My journey through life as a woman is like that of a tree. Starting with a small seed, always pushing against the resistance of the Earth. The endless weight of gravity."

Defending the work she went on: “I think it’s really important that a lot of thought and conversation went into creating these videos.

"I say we need a forest with creepy crawly bugs coming out of me.

"Not often does a robot centipede crawl out of my vagina," the singer joked.
