Madonna's childhood home is for sale

DETROIT _ Madonna's childhood home in Rochester Hills, Mich., is up for sale again.

The current owners put the house on the market Thursday, said Robert Kabbani, the agent in charge of the sale for Re/Max Realty.

He expects a lot of traffic over the weekend just because The Material Girl lived there. She attended Rochester Adams High School before making it big in the music and acting industry.

"I think the family moved out about 2001," said Kabbani. "It was burned in a fire in 2008. The property sat empty until 2012 when my current seller purchased it. They fully renovated the property. Now they're moving that's why it's up for sale."

The current list price is $479,000. The 2,700-square foot house is on Oklahoma Avenue, which is off Walton Blvd., east of Brewster. The home has five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It was sold by Madonna's family in July of 2001.

Kabbani said an open house is set for Saturday.

"We'll probably get a lot of traffic just because people know she lived there," said Kabbani.
