Madonna limps on crutches as she joins Black Lives Matter protest in London

Madonna was seen hobbling on crutches as she joined protesters for the Black Lives Matter march following George Floyd's tragic death.

The international superstar, 61, gave London demonstrators a huge surprise as she turned up among the busy crowd to show her support.

Fans jumped onto social media to share snaps and videos of the pop star, who didn't let her knee injury get in the way at the rally.

She was reportedly spotted chanting "no justice, no peace" at the march, despite being in hospital a week earlier for her injury.

The singer left many mesmerised when they realised who it was, as Madonna chatted and walked alongside fans at the peaceful protest.

Protests have been taking place globally after the death of a black man - George Floyd - in the USA, as white police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes while arresting him.

He was charged on Wednesday with second-degree murder.

Madonna has blown up the Internet as fans eagerly took to Twitter to share their praises for the star who turned up while on crutches.

One penned: "Good for @Madonna! #BlackLivesMatter"
