Madonna's agonising hip and knee injuries to be shown in brutal new Netflix documentary

Madonna has reportedly signed a deal for a new documentary film for Netflix.

The Queen of Pop, 62, is reported to have signed a deal with the streaming giant and it will be utilise footage from behind the scenes of her Madame X tour.

Madge had toured from 2019 to 2020 across Europe and North America in her persona as Madame X, which was also the title of her fourteenth studio album.

The tour saw her perform in smaller as well as large venues and also bring in a ban for mobile phones to ensure the experience remain intimate between her and the fans present.

The performances did face cancellations and harder times, however, due to Madonna's persisting hip and knee injuries and the final date being called off due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Now a source has told The Sun that we can expect this new Netflix documentary to show a look at the ups and downs of the tour and Madonna's life behind the scenes.

They said: "Madonna quite literally put blood, sweat and tears into the Madame X tour and she wants this documentary to show it off for the spectacle that it was.

"She's never been the type to fade into the background, so viewers will definitely get to witness her dry sense of humour."

They added: "She has spent weeks watching previews and helping to edit the footage at home in the US and is very hands- on with it."

The film will see Madonna join the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Ariana Grande, and Lady Gaga by releasing a behind the scenes documentary for Netflix.

Fans of Madonna - who remains the biggest-selling female recording artist of all time - will also be aware that she is also working on an autobiographical film of her life.

Madonna recently confirmed she was writing an autobiographical film with Diablo Cody (Madonna/Instagram)

The Hung Up star will be teaming up with Juno screenwriter Diablo Cody to pen the script, but the actress who will portray Madge, born Madonna Louise Ciccone, has yet to be confirmed.

Netflix declined to comment when approached by The Mirror, whilst representatives of Madonna have been contacted for comment on this story.
