Madonna has cancelled another concert on her Madame X tour, just 2.5 hours before she was due on stage.

Th 61-year-old said she needed to "listen to her body" and "rest", backing out from the Lisbon gig last minute.

The previous night, Madge had been drinking port on stage, which she said was the only way she could get through it.

She wrote on Instagram , where she has 14.7million followers: "Thank you again Lisbon! ... Sorry I had to cancel tonight but I must listen to my body and rest!! That white Port ... got me through the rest of the show! See you on Tuesday fingers crossed".

According to The Independent , audience members received the email notifying them of the cancellation just 2.5 hours before the show was due to begin.

The publications reports the email said: 'We regret to inform you that Madonna is unable to perform this evening.’

She also binned two shows in New York, one in LA, three in Boston, and one in Miami Beach.

In a previous show, Madonna told the audience that she was suffering with a "bad knee" after tearing a ligament.

She also recently posted a video captioned: "How an injured Madame X warms up for a show" as she warmed up with her dancers.

Some of the audience members expecting to see her perform were furious at the cancellation.

One wrote on Instagram: "This is unfair on your fans sorry ! A hour before doors open ! This will happen in London too ? Hope not ! Unfair madonna and i'm a massive fan of yours ! Cancel in advance please."

"Cancel the rest of the tour and come back once you are ok. I paid flights and hotel. Never again. Ciao", added another.

But other fans supported her decision, commenting reminding her that health comes first, and wising her a restful break and recovery.

MirrorOnline has reached out to Madonna's reps for comment.
