It promises to be a grand finale to the day of action: ska favourites Madness are making a return to Newcastle this summer with an outdoor gig on what is Newcastle Racecourse's biggest day of the year.
Following the on Saturday, June 29, the band will be wrapping up the entertainment at Gosforth Park with a concert that promises to be a summer sizzler.
The Suggs-led hit-makers signed up to a series of racecourse gigs, hot on the heels of their Arena tour, The Sound of Madness, and Newcastle fans will be delighted at their heading north back to 'Our House', where they always go down a storm.
They are set to play all their hits and fan favourites so expect the likes of Baggy Trousers, Our House, One Step Beyond, My Girl and It Must Be Love.
But there'll be new tracks in store too from the band who are classed as one of the top 20 selling UK groups of all time, with seven top 10 albums under their belt.
They've reached the UK Top 20 charts a whopping 22 times, have had more than 6m album sales and they recently achieved gold status with their Can’t Touch Us Now album; sell-out shows and the recent release of their Full House - The Best Of Madness compilation.
The Newcastle Racecourse gig will follow the big day's racing at Gosforth Park and, with gates opening from 10.30am, fans are being encouraged to combine both the horse action and concert for a top day out.
