Madinah’s Governor Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz thanked pilgrims visiting the Prophet’s Mosque for their role in making this year’s Hajj a success.

The Prince said during a ceremony honoring those who served pilgrims this year, in the presence of Madinah’s Deputy Gov. Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, that pilgrims played a huge role in the success of this year's Hajj by following instructions to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage.

The undersecretary of the Hajj and Umrah Ministry, Mohammed Al-Bejawi, said Madinah received about 95 percent of pilgrims who came to perform Hajj, with Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport witnessing the arrival and departure of more than 1.2 million pilgrims who enjoyed good services.

He added that more than 80,000 hotel rooms and other accommodations were made available to pilgrims visiting the Prophet’s Mosque and were monitored around the clock to ensure the provision of the finest services.

Also, integrated health services were available to all visitors, he said.
