Governor of Madinah Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has stressed the importance of “full readiness” for the pilgrimage season.

Prince Faisal, who is also the head of the Hajj Committee in Madinah, said the relevant agencies should be able to implement the operational programs and plans in order to have a successful hajj.

His remarks came as he chaired the committee’s meeting in the attendance of Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, deputy governor of Madinah and the committee’s deputy head.

Successes in past pilgrimages were the result of early preparations made by relevant bodies, and the joined efforts of state institutions under the guidelines of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz in order to provide the best services for guests and visitors of Prophet's Mosque (Masjid Nabawi), Prince Faisal said.

The governor was briefed on data on the possible number of Umrah performers.

The committee then discussed items on its agenda, and issued the necessary recommendations and decisions.
