
Governor of Madinah region Prince Faisal bin Salman has stated that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has directed to facilitate the journey of pilgrims and provide security, stability, and tranquility to them so that they can perform their rituals with ease and comfort.
The governor said that since the time of the founder late King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Kingdom has paid full attention to the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.
Further, the Kingdom has spared no effort, money, knowledge or experience to facilitate Hajj, Umrah and visit, in addition to providing all services to ensure the comfort and security of pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and comfort, he added.
Prince Faisal pointed out that the Kingdom continues its path in modernizing, developing and providing the latest technology to take care of the system of Hajj and Umrah.
His affirmations were made as he received heads of official Hajj missions from Arab countries and Muslim communities.
Moreover, Imam of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Ali al-Hudhaifi lauded the care and attention paid by the government to Makkah and Madinah through large projects aimed at serving the guests of the Two Holy Mosques.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umra Mohammed al-Begawi asserted that the early preparations for the Hajj season and the cooperation with relevant parties had a positive impact on enhancing the services offered to pilgrims.
By Tuesday evening, more than 733,000 pilgrims had arrived in the Kingdom, according to data issued by the Saudi General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat). It said the number of pilgrims arriving by air stood at 705,360, by land 19,025, and by sea 9,121.
All the pilgrims are maintaining good health with no reports of epidemics or contagious diseases thus far, the Ministry of Health announced Tuesday, saying it provided its services to around 300,000 of them.
Head of the Office of Pilgrims Affairs of Turkey Ramzi Berjan noted the Kingdom's great service to pilgrims, and its keenness every year to provide more facilities to them so they can be at comfort during their stay in the Kingdom until their departure.
Berjan’s statement came after meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tiwafa (Hajj guiding) foundations of Pilgrims of Turkey, Muslims of Europe, America and Australia Tariq bin Mohammed Angawi.
He said that those responsible for the affairs of the pilgrims of Turkey appreciate all the efforts of concerned authorities with Hajj and pilgrims affairs, and are keen to meet with them for consultation and continuous discussion to further upgrade the services provided to pilgrims to their highest levels.
