BHOPAL: So far 3.09 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the state, of these 45% are females and 55% are males.
And it is all the major towns of the state like Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Gwalior where maximum vaccine doses have been administered.
Maximum vaccines have been administered at Indore where 30.4 lakh doses have been administered and of these 13.8 lakh are females. Indore is followed by state capital Bhopal19.08 lakh people have been vaccinated till now of these 8.49 lakh are women, then it is Jabalpur where 14.17 lakh vaccine doses have been administered and of those only 2.73 lakh have been administered to women after Jabalpur it is Ujjain where 12.09 lakh vaccines have been administered and of it, only 2.10 lakh have been administered to women and then it is Gwalior district where 11.14 lakh vaccine doses have been administered and in Gwalior only 4.85 lakh vaccines have been administered to women.
However when it comes to administering second dose of the vaccine among these districts it is Jabalpur district where maximum persons have been administered with the second dose also.
A total of 6.65 lakh people have been administered with second dose of vaccine in Jabalpur, it is followed by Indore where 6.01 lakh people have been administered with the second dose, and then it is Ujjain were 5.74 lakh have received both the doses, and after Ujjain it is state capital Bhopal where only around 3.94 lakh people have received the second dose and Gwalior is last among these districts in this category as only around 2.13 lakh have received the second dose. Overall in the entire state out of the 3.09 crore vaccine doses administered 50.10 lakh people have received both the doses. Thus out of eligible population for vaccination which is estimated to be around 5.7 crore, now 2.59 crore have at least received the single dose.
Sources said that state government is aiming to vaccinate the entire eligible population with at least one dose by the end of the month of September, as of now more than 50% of the eligible population of the state have received at least one dose, added sources.
