BHOPAL: Humid weather made things difficult for people in Bhopal and other parts of the state on Wednesday. The rainfall activity reduced sharply and withdrawal of monsoon also started from Rajasthan; soon the process will start in Madhya Pradesh too.
Met officials said, withdrawal of southwest monsoon started from some parts of west Rajasthan and Gujarat. Conditions are now becoming favourable for further withdrawal of southwest monsoon from some parts of MP in next three-four days. Till then, humid weather would prevail in the state, officials added.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday was recorded at 33.3 degrees Celsius, a degree more than normal mark, while night temperature remained at 23.0 degrees Celsius, two degrees more than normal mark.
From 8.30 am to 5.30pm, Chhindwara recorded 11.0 mm rain in the state. In the forecast for Bhopal on Thursday, the met office stated in a release, there would be cloudy sky with possibility of thunder and rain.
Day and night temperature in the city would be at 34 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively, while average wind speed will be 14 kilometres per hour.
In the forecast for the state, met office has issued a warning of lightning and thunder for places including Hoshangabad and Shahdol divisions and for Sagar, Damoh, Sehore, Bhopal, Burhanpur, Ujjain, Dewas, Guna and Shivpuri districts.
