BHOPAL: Sunny days and no rain will continue in the state for a few more days, till fresh formations develop over the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. The respite from rain is expected for a week.
Officials of the meteorological department, Bhopal circle said, there is an upper air cycer over north Bihar and adjoining parts of Uttar Pradesh and another upper air cycer over Gujarat and adjoining parts of Madhya Pradesh. The systems may lead to thunder and showers at isolated places over the state, but chances of widespread heavy showers are dismal for the next few days, officials added. Day temperature in Bhopal on Friday was recorded at 32.1 degrees Celsius — three degrees more than normal mark, and night temperature in the city was recorded at 22.6 degrees Celsius — at the normal mark. Wind direction in the city was west south westerly and average wind speed was 18 kilometers per hour.
Indore recorded 0.2 mm and Ujjain recorded trace of rain between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm.
In the forecast for Bhopal on Saturday the meteorological officials said, there would be cloudy sky with possibility of thunder and light rain in parts of the city. Day and night temperature in the city would be respectively at 32 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius while average wind speed will be 16 kmph.
