BHOPAL: After its 10th mega vaccination drive on Thursday, Madhya Pradesh has moved up to fifth spot in the list of states with highest second dose coverage in India.
MP now has over 4.52 crore people, who are fully vaccinated. It surpassed Gujarat which is now sixth in second dose coverage.
87% of people who took the first dose in MP are now fully vaccinated. 14.8 lakh vaccine doses were administered across MP on Thursday.
95% or 1418029 were people seeking second dose for full inoculation. Close to 15 lakh vaccine coverage in MP during the day was the highest across the nation. Chhindwara dose coverage during the day was highest for the state at close to 74,000.
Satna, Khargone, Bhopal, Raisen and Morena were among top six, with more than 50,000 jabs in each of the districts being administered during the day. 18 districts in MP have a second dose coverage of over 90%, which is calculated from people who took the first dose. Barwani, Betul, Singrauli, Alirajpur and Jhabua are on the bottom of the list with Jhabua being at the bottom where only 67% of the eligible are fully vaccinated.
