Madhya Pradesh: NIA, IB pick up two 'pro-ISIS' youths from Bhopal

BHOPAL: Two youths were detained in a joint operation led by NIA and Central intelligence bureau from Bhopal in the wee hours on Sunday.

They were identified as Mohammed Anas and Zuber Khan - aged 20 to 25 years.

While Anas was detained from his house in Abbas Nagar, Khan of Silwani in Raisen district was picked up from a boarding in city. One of them is a madarasa educated while other one is a graduate from Bhopal.

Sources say they this action was part of a nationwide crackdown by these two agencies across various states including Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Karnataka, Maharashtra and UP on 13 premises for their suspected pro-ISIS activities on social media platforms.

Investigators have confiscated their phone for detailed investigation. It has not been decided as to whether they would be arrested. No past crime record have been found.

Action would be taken if any concrete evidence of their involvement in anti national activities are found.

It’s however confirm that they were in touch with section of radical organisations through various apps. They are being questioned for more details.
