Madhya Pradesh: MPs’, MLAs' letters forged for transfer pleas

BHOPAL: The crime branch has opened an investigation into complaints that fake recommendations of transfer were sent on forged letterheads of prominent MPs and MLAs to the departments of health, revenue and education.

The complaint, filed with the CM secretariat on Thursday, says the letterheads of Bhopal MP Pragya Singh Thakur, Rajgarh MP Rodmal Nagar, Dewas MP Mahendra Solanki, and MLA Silwani Rampal Singh were forged to issue these transfer recommendations.

Police approached the leaders, who said they had not issued the letters. The CM office then filed a complaint of fraud.

Police have found that transfers of 30 government employees, posted in at least 16 districts, were recommended on such forged documents, said ASP (crime branch) Gopal Singh Dhakad on Friday. Police and crime branch have issued notices to these 30 employees to name the persons they had sent their applications for transfer, and if they had contacted anyone to get it done.

These employees are posted in Vidisha, Barwani, Jabalpur, Shivpuri, Satna, Katni, Ujjain, Sehore, Mandsaur, Chhatarpur, Narsinghpur, Dewas, Shajapur, Sidhi, Balaghat and Ujjain districts, said ASP Dhakad.
