MHOW: A resident of Mhow in Madhya Pradesh has been booked for forgery after he created a fake RTPCR-positive report to ‘stay away from his bride’. He told mediapersons he was only trying to find a way not to get close to his wife, and didn’t realise it could land him in big trouble.
The reluctant husband, a carpenter, had married recently. He allegedly downloaded a positive report, changed the name using a photo editing feature, and then forwarded the morphed image to his wife and other family members.
His wife got suspicious and confided in her father, who found out the truth from Indore-based Central Lab, which had prepared the original report.
