Madhya Pradesh govt taking police action against youth asking for jobs: Former CM Kamal Nath

BHOPAL: Former chief minister and leader of opposition, Kamal Nath, on Thursday alleged that state government is taking police action against unemployed youth, demanding jobs.

Taking to twitter, the senior Congress leader said, “When thousands of unemployed youth of the state are asking for livelihood, they are being beaten with lathis, cases are registered.”

Referring to the police action against selected teachers agitating before the state BJP office on Wednesday, Kamal Nath, said, “And if thousands of candidates selected for teachers’ job ask for appointment letters, they are reminded of corona guidelines, cases are registered against them too.”

On Wednesday, women candidates selected for teachers’ job during the 15-month Kamal Nath regime sat in protest with `rakhis’ because they are still awaiting appointment letters. They wanted chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to visit the spot and listen to their grievances. However, police registered FIRs against the protestors for violating Corona guidelines.

Kamal Nath tweeted that corona restrictions are imposed on the youth asking for employment while the BJP’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra is violating all guidelines as it travels through the state.

“Restrictions are imposed on religious festivals while at the same time, the BJP’s state-wide Jan Ashirwad Yatra is continuing in a grand fashion violating all rules and guidelines,” he tweeted.

“Grand welcomes have been arranged on the routes with many reception podiums, welcome gates, hoardings, posters. This ostentatious yatra is being organized when a large portion of the state is living through the horrors of floods,” he said.
