BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh home department has allowed a woman constable to undergo a genital reconstruction surgery.
According to official sources, she had been suffering from gender identity disorder.
She had approached police headquarters seeking permission for gender reassignment surgery in 2019.
Her application was forwarded to the home department for further process.
