BHOPAL: Governor Mangubhai Patel and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended their greetings to the citizens of Madhya Pradesh on the eve of India’s Independence Day.
Governor Patel remembered the contribution offreedom fighters and prayed for the wellness and development of the country.
Chief minister Chouhan in his address said, “We have completed 74 years of Independence and are celebrating the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. In the 75th year of Independence, we have to resolve to continue our utmost efforts to make our nation happy and great”.
Chief minister Chouhan said, “MP is in the heart of the country. The state government has taken important steps in every field for the welfare of its citizens. Progress has been made in sectors such as irrigation, agriculture, education, health, technical skills and for conserving the heritage of the state. In the last 15 years, these efforts have gained momentum, as a result of which MP got rid of the ‘bimaru’ tag.”
Chief minister Chouhan said that despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the state is moving ahead with sincere efforts. He said that the government is running several projects with the cooperation of the public.
Chief Minister Chouhan expressed hope that MP will be one of the most prosperous states of the country. “Every citizen has to take a pledge to participate in the journey of progress on this Independence Day”, he said.
