BHOPAL: A 24-year-old engineering student, who sustained grievous head-injuries after he lost control over a scooter on Saturday night, died after three days while undergoing treatment at a hospital here on Monday night.
Police said that Ashutosh Tiwari hailed from Damoh. He was staying at a rented flat in Aakriti Eco City in Salliya, Misrod.
While returning home after having dinner along with his friend, Ashutosh lost control over the wheels near Dipdi village in Bangrasiya and sustained grievous injuries on his head, hand and leg. No helmet was found on the spot, said police.
Ashutosh's friend, who was riding pillion, rushed him to a staterun hospital in MP Nagar and informed his parents, said police. Police said that Ashutosh's family members asked his friend to shift him to a private hospital and they rushed to Bhopal.
After three days of undergoing treatment on Monday around 10.45pm he breathed his last.
In another incident reported at Khajuri police station, a 50-year-old scooter-borne man, who collided head-on with another speeding scooter on September 23, died after four days of treatment on Monday.
Police said that Nand Kishore was an auto-driver.
Around 11.30pm on Thursday when Nand Kishore was returning home on his scooter, he collided head-on with another motorcycle near Bhauri Jod. The riders sustained multiple injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital, where he died on Monday.
