BHOPAL: Rainfall activity reduced in Bhopal on Tuesday and weather remained clear in the day, however, it rained in the night in the city. Due to cloud cover, the temperature didn’t rise much. As per the met officials, possibility of showers still persists for the state and a few places may soon record heavy rainfall.
et officials said, there is a well-marked low pressure area over Vidarbha and depression would be forming over Arabian Sea around October 1. Also, there is low pressure building over Bay of Bengal. The impact of all these systems would continue the wet spell in various parts of MP, they added.
Day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 29.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees less than normal mark, while night temperature in the city was 24.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees more than normal mark.
The places that recorded showers between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm in the day were Khargone 31 mm, Khandwa 22 mm while Chhindwara recorded 2.0 mm showers.
In the forecast for Wednesday, the met office stated in a release, there would be cloudy sky with thunder and rain in parts of the city. Day and night temperature in the city would be at 31 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively, while average wind speed will be 16 kilometre per hour.
In the forecast for the state, met office has issued a warning of heavy showers for Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Alirajpur, Burhanpur, Ratlam, Jhabua and Betul.
