Madhya Pradesh: Amid BJP landslide, Kamal Nath retains home turf Chhindwara

BHOPAL: Despite the Bharatiya Janata Party securing a decisive victory and retaining power in Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, the long-standing leader of the Congress party, maintained his stronghold on Chhindwara.

He secured a win against the BJP's Vivek Bunty Sahu with a margin of 36,594 votes.

Notably, Nath has consistently held the Chhindwara Lok Sabha seat since 1980, winning it for a record nine times.

In the 2018 polls, his victory margin against Sahu was 25,837 votes.
