BHOPAL: A nine-year-old girl was raped by her father as mother left home to her maternal house after an argument. Incident was reported from Gwalior district in Madhya Pradesh.
Matter surfaced when her mother returned home on Wednesday morning. She found her girl crying. On asking, she narrated the ordeal she went through.
She took her to the nearest police station and reported the matter. Police said the couple had a fight over some domestic issue on Tuesday after which she went to her mother's place leaving daughter with her husband.
Her husband came home in inebriated condition and raped their daughter. He also threatened her with dire consequences on reporting the matter.
Police have registered a case against the accused under various sections of POSCO. Accused - a carpenter by profession - is absconding.
