BHOPAL: For the third time in 10 days, Madhya Pradesh reported more than 10 new Covid cases. On Sunday, 12 people tested Covid positive.
With these new cases, tally of Covid positive cases reported in the state so far has reached 7,92,155.
There were a total of 80 active cases in the state as on August 29.
New cases were reported in single digits from all the districts of the state. And no new case was reported from 45 districts of the state. And only one case was reported from three of the seven districts where new cases were reported.
Maximum cases were reported from Jabalpur district where 4 new cases were found, followed by two in each of Dhar and Panna districts, and one case each was reported from Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore districts.
And on Sunday positivity rate of 0.01% was reported. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out every 100 samples tested.
On August 29, 72139 samples were tested and of it 12 were found positive, thus on an average 1 person, out of every around 6000 who were tested, was found to be positive.
A total of 11 people recovered from the disease on Sunday. With these people recovering the number of people who have recovered so far from the disease reached 781559.
Apart from it, no death was reported in the state on Sunday and the death toll due to Covid-19 remained 10516.
