Madeleine McCann's parents reveal how much they miss 'hugging and kissing her' in emotional post

Kate and Gerry McCann have revealed how they miss 'hugging and kissing' as they gear up for their 13th Christmas without her.

The parents took to Facebook with a heartbreaking post on the "seasons we miss Madeleine" over 12 years after she vanished.

Madeleine was only three when she went missing from a Portuguese holiday resort in Praia da Luz on May 3 2007.

Her distraught family, including her twin siblings, both now 15, have never given up looking for her and begged to the public "please help us get her home" on social media, according to The Mirror.

They wrote: "Holding her, hugging her, kissing the top of her head. Lying next to her. Our complete family of five. Everything. We miss her."

Madeleine was on holiday with her family at the time of her disappearance.

Her parents left her sleeping with her other siblings while they had dinner with friends at a tapas restaurant.

The case was recently featured in the Netflix programme The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Last month the McCanns thanked the public on their Facebook page after the search was given an additional £300,000 in funding.

The couple wrote: "Thank you for being by our side as we continue to search for Madeleine."

They vowed to continue looking for Maddie "for as long as it takes".

Operation Grange, the probe into the youngster's disappearance, has cost £12million to date.
