WHO ARE THEY?
The Manchester music scene’s finest, most compelling advert for community and cross-collaboration. An eight-piece outfit comprising various rappers, vocalists and producers from Manchester’s urban music scene – including Blakk Ice, CaveMan and Chi Prophecy – the excellent NoSpace made an immediate impact with their acclaimed debut EP, Out of Body, back in early 2018.
Throwing a whole heap of ingredients at each song - grime, funk, reggae, Latin, boom bap and hip-hop – NoSpace’s greatest skill is how they make all those disparate elements coalesce.
With tracks such as Company and Tangerine Day Dreams, the band deftly locate the point where soulful euphoria, deep grooves and melodic nous converge into songs of real potency and dance-ability. That’s certainly reflected in the band’s epic live performances – full of infectious energy and raucous, carnival-like atmosphere, a NoSpace live show is a place in which to shed your inhibitions and let loose upon the dancefloor.
