Made in Manchester - Lynchs

WHO ARE THEY?

A Mancunian guitar outfit built upon, they say, 'the sibling rivalry' of ‎brothers Breb and Tam Lynch, the band's frontman and guitarist respectively.

However, don't expect Lynchs to serve up guitar rock of a swaggering, Gallagher-esque sensibility.

This fledgling quartet are cut from a much darker, cerebral cloth, citing the inspiration of 80s post-punk and the figurative painter Francis Bacon.

Their excellent debut EP, The City, bears testament to those influences, showcasing a sound that wraps brooding noir-rock melodies around disco-charged beats and jagged guitar riffage - imagine The Chameleons filtered through contemporary indie-rock sensibility.

Fresh from winning the Trashed TV contest (a nationwide competition for new artists), the hotly-tipped four-piece will be appearing at next weekend's Dot to Dot Festival - if you've got a ticket, make sure you put them at the top of your ‎'must see' list.

FOR FANS OF:

Interpol, The Chameleons, White Lies, Fontaines D.C.
