Disruption threatens Made In Chelsea set as car goes up in flames nearby

A ferocious blaze near the Made In Chelsea set threatened to throw filming into chaos after firefighters were called to a car "engulfed in flames".

The hit E4 reality show only recently resumed shooting after being put on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But a fire on a the grounds of a posh West Sussex country manor, which boasts 23 acres, nearly threw another spanner in the works.

Filming had been moved to the stately home after producers were forced to axe the cast's usual posh hangouts.

A neighbour of the manor told The Sun : "It was really scary.

“The car was engulfed in flames and firefighters were called to deal with the blaze."

They added that the cast were safe but some were "shaken" by the fire.

It's believed the blaze started near one of the houses where MIC is currently filming.

Series 19 began airing on March 23 2020 but only contained six episodes that were filmed before lockdown.

Ollie Locke, Tiffany Watson and Binky Felstead were among the major cast members who returned to the show this year.

A large majority of the series has focused on Sam Thompson's rocky relationship with former Love Island star Zara McDermott in the midst of Sam's ex Tiffany returning to the programme.

It has also featured Ollie planning his wedding to fiancé Gareth.
