Made In Chelsea's Ollie Locke announces travel to US with husband to start IVF journey

Made In Chelsea star Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth have revealed they will be spending some time in the US in hopes of starting a family.

The 33-year-old reality star, whose wedding to Gareth aired in emotional MiC scenes last year, took to social media to update fans on their plans to have a baby.

The Chelsea native revealed to followers that they were able to travel to the Americas under medical exemptions in order to start the IVF process with a surrogate.

"Our Official Statement.. Similar to another Chelsea-based couple, we have decided to reside for some time to the Americas where we begin on our journey to become the proudest and happiest parents in the world! X," Ollie penned on social media.

The couple then added in a statement: "The last year has been super tough on everyone and the joint effort of everyone has made a huge effect on all of us collectively getting past the restrictions and difficulties of Covid-19.

"Respectfully and excitingly we wanted to post and make an announcement that we have traveled across the world and under medical exemptions to begin our IVF and surrogacy journey.

The couple added: "We know you have loved watching our journey so far and we can't wait to take you on the adventure with us on the other side of the world and with any luck we might have some very good news for you in the coming months!"

"We hope our followers understand and support us in this journey and that you appreciate the circumstances that have allowed us to travel outside of a normal situation."

Ollie and Gareth have been inundated with supportive messages as fans flocked to with the couple well with their plans to start a family.

"baby Locke, who ever they may be is so lucky to have two dads like you two," added one fan.

"We had our ivf baby last year sending you lots of luck on this incredible journey," wrote another.

Earlier this year, the newlyweds revealed their plans to use an American egg donor with a British surrogate mother.

The couple have also opened up about their plans to become dads on Made In Chelsea where they have often spoken to their co-stars about the process. Both Ollie and Gareth will provide their sperm, but they won't know whose sperm will actually be used to conceive the baby.

In March, Ollie shared a post with followers after announcing plans to start a family as he reflected on the legal formalities and months of planning surrounding their journey to the US.
