Fredrik Ferrier has recalled the moment he was once mistaken for Sam Ryder before revealing to a confused fan, he wasn't the Eurovision sensation.
Having found fame on Made In Chelsea, Fredrik is known for his luscious golden hair, similar to Ryder's but the pair are extremely different.
The star who makes it no secret that music is his main love while praising the E4 reality show for giving him a platform has opened up about the hilarious encounter and his latest track, Silence Your Mind with Charlie Hedges.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Fredrik explained: "It was hilarious, I was walking, I thought someone knew me from Made In Chelsea, they wanted a photo from that.
"They were like 'Oh man, congratulations, you were amazing on Eurovision', they were being genuinely serious, I didn't even have my hair down, I had my hair up!"
He went on to add: "I don't think I look that much like him, I laughed it off and said 'Oh no, I'm actually a singer as well,' anyone likening me to Sam is great – he has an absolutely insane voice, he can do acrobatics with how high he can go and the notes he can it.
"It's really quite something, he's super impressive."
But that isn't his only connection to Sam Ryder, with Fredrik revealing that his track with Charlie, produced by Perfect Havoc had originally been sung by Sam.
He said: "Perfect Havoc, they can really push a song if they want to, I was super excited, as soon as I got the email saying Charlie Hedges requested me.
"I later found out that the song was actually Sam Ryder's song, he sang it and it didn't work out, I managed to sing it afterwards and she was super happy with the tape that I'd done.
"She was so emotional, and she actually said she had tears in her eyes when she listened to it and said 'It's perfect, we're super excited about it', as a singer, it's an amazing feeling."
But while the was initially apprehensive about taking the song due to "demoitis" – when an artist hears a demo and believes nothing is ever as good as the original.
"I was super happy that Charlie loved my version after Sam had done his," he gushed, before adding: "It was another huge compliment.
"Someone was saying I should do a duet with Sam."
