'Made in Bristol' - City fans celebrate Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham's first goal for England

There's no question that Tammy Abraham will enjoy an immensely successful career having established himself as one of the brightest young strikers in English football, if not the world.

At Wembley on Thursday night, Abraham took the latest step on his professional journey by claiming his first goal for England in his fourth appearance to complete a 7-0 demolition of Montenegro.

Praise reverberated around the country, including Gary Lineker who tweeted "Always a truly special moment. First of many for his country, I suspect", but a specific corner of the West Country was especially proud.

As Abraham himself admits, his season on loan at Bristol City in 2016/17 helped make him a man as he scored 26 goals in 48 games under Lee Johnson and was set on the pathway towards stardom.

It was a transformative campaign for the striker as he left Chelsea for the first time and under the guidance of Lee Johnson became a more mature and all-round footballer, benefitting from regular minutes, the environment created in BS3 and the culture that the Robins pride themselves on.
