Made for You by Melissa Marr - review

I liked this book, even though I’m not a huge fan of romance. It was dark though – really dark. I mean, I read a lot of quite depressing, gruesome stuff, but I still thought this was grim. It was a good grim though, like The Hunger Games. It was very well written, apart from when the characters sometimes spoke like the queen.

Basically, it’s about this girl called Eva who is being hunted down by a psychopath who kills her friends. At the start, she gets run over by a car and wakes up in hospital. She discovers that she can see how people will die and this makes her kind of freak out (who can blame her?). Then she gets reacquainted with an old friend. This changes everything, as it makes the killer even more violent and lethal. As more and more people die, it’s a race against time to find the killer before he finds Eva.

Made For You

It did freak me out a bit because, let’s be honest, it’s a freaky story. It’s the sort of story that you don’t know whether you’re meant to like it or not, you know? Like, it would be weird if you liked it, but it was really good anyway.

I would recommend this to people who don’t mind being slightly scared and like crime novels. This may look like a nice romance story, but trust me, it’s not. It’s grim. I would give it three stars, because even though it’s not my favourite book ever, I would read it again.
