‘Madden’ sim has Cardinals losing to Seahawks 24-14 in finale

The Arizona Cardinals’ final game of the season is at home against the Seattle Seahawks. In a simulation of the game on Madden NFL 24, the Cardinals lost the game 24-14.

Kyler Murray threw two touchdown passes and receiver Greg Dorth had a huge game with nine catches for 137 yards and a touchdown, but a red-zone interception by Seahawks cornerback Riq Woolen in the first half led to Seattle taking the lead and never giving it back.

The Cardinals took a 7-3 lead on a 19-yard touchdown pass to Dortch, while the defense held the Seahawks to a pair of field goals before the interception.

The Seahawks made a 54-yard field goal before halftime to take a 9-7 lead.

After halftime, Geno Smith threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba and then a six-yard touchdown pass to Noah Fant to give the Seahawks a 24-7 lead.

The Cardinals scored in the fourth quarter on a one-yard touchdown pass from Murray to Michael Wilson but could not recover the onside kick. They forced a turnover on downs when Seattle tried a fake punt but ran out of time before they could score again.

Murray was 24-for-33 passing for 250 yards, two touchdowns an an interception. He led the team with 54 rushing yards. James Conner was held to 31 yards on seven attempts. In addition to Dortch’s nine catches for 137 yards and a touchdown, tight end Trey McBride had five catches for 35 yards and Wilson caught four passes for 30 yards and a score.

Zaven Collins had two sacks for the Cardinals.

Kenneth Walker had 109 rushing yards for Seattle and Smith-Njigba caught four passes for 104 yards and a score.
