Matthew Stafford will face the team he spent the first 12 years of his career with in Week 7 when the Los Angeles Rams host the Detroit Lions at SoFi Stadium. It’s a game the Rams should win, with Stafford likely to put up big numbers against a lackluster defense.
It’s a game Stafford likely has circled, and it’s one EA Sports apparently does, too. In the new “Madden NFL 22” trailer released on Thursday, it features a quick look at Stafford in the game – and of course, he throws an interception to Jeff Okudah of the Lions.
After the pick, it shows Sean McVay slamming his play sheet to the ground in frustration, which you’ll probably never see happen.
Wouldn’t that be something?
The trailer doesn’t show Jared Goff in a Lions uniform, or anyone else on the Rams, but fans probably hope this brief clip isn’t a sign of things to come in Week 7.
