The Miami Dolphins’ biggest addition from draft weekend wasn’t a draft pick at all — rather their trade for quarterback Josh Rosen has made huge waves throughout the fanbase. And thanks to the folks at EA Sports and Madden 2020, we have our first look at Rosen touting the aqua and orange.
The Dolphins staff has been very deliberate to avoid expectations from steamrolling out of control. Leadership has insisted that Rosen will have to win a quarterback competition with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick if he hopes to see the field. But ultimately, Miami didn’t invest a second round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft for Josh Rosen to sit on the bench. He will be Miami’s next starting quarterback — barring any unforeseen circumstances.
And whether or not he plays up to the bubbling expectations, Rosen in the short-term provides optimism that the team is closer to their final solution at the position. Rosen can either finish the search himself, or his potential struggles will catapult Miami into position to select someone else to serve as the final answer.
But before we get answers there, expect plenty of Madden highlights of Rosen slinging the ball to Kenny Stills, Albert Wilson and company.
