French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher revealed on Friday that French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Beirut in early 2019.
He made his remarks during talks with President Michel Aoun at the Baabda presidential palace.
The two officials discussed bilateral ties, efforts to form a new Lebanese government and Macron’s upcoming visit.
They also tackled the Russian initiative to return Syrian refugees to their homeland.
Foucher voiced France’s support for Lebanon, underlining the recommendations reached during April’s Cedre conference.
He also expressed his backing for the Lebanese army and Internal Security Forces.
