Macmillan provides the Rich Picture on people living with cancer

Macmillan has updated its entire suite of 19 Rich Picture resources on different groups within the two million people living with cancer. The Rich Pictures summarise the numbers, needs and experiences of these groups, and bring cancer data to life with real quotes, and case studies.

The insight the Rich Pictures offer is incredibly valuable to professionals working with people with cancer. They can add weight and evidence during negotiations with commissioners, and also provide evidence to support campaigning, as well as insight into the lives of people with cancer for all those who work with them.

There are updated Rich Pictures on each of the top ten most prevalent cancer types, rarer cancers, people of different age groups living with cancer, carers of people with cancer  and those at end of life.

This year Macmillan Cancer Support has also created brand new Rich Pictures, on:

• Children living with cancer

• Teenagers and young adults living with cancer

• People living with cancer from BME groups

• And they have created an 'Emerging Picture', on LGBT people living with cancer, which for the first time collates all available evidence on this traditionally under-represented group, whilst highlighting the need for more robust data to be collected.

The entire suite of Rich Pictures can be found at macmillan.org.uk/richpictures
