Mackenzie Bezos is now the world’s 22nd richest person (and 3rd richest woman) and her online suitors are lining up.
Jeff Bezos and Mackenzie Bezos split in April, and their divorce just became final over the weekend. Jeff may have purchased a new penthouse apartment in New York City as a post-divorce gift to himself, but Mackenzie could easily buy one of her own as she walked away with a $38 billion settlement and 19.7 million shares in Amazon.
Now that Mackenzie has some spare change lying around, Twitter users are shooting their best game in Mackenzie’s direction, like “Hey @mackenziebezos! Any plans for the weekend?”
Others were a bit more blunt (and sexist) writing, “Now you are the hottest MILF I have ever imagined!”
One suitor is already using gross pet names: “Good Morning Pretty Mama! Just Making Sure Your Still Feeling Very Loved Over There Baby!” [sic]
Some Twitter users are trying to promote their own causes, rather than ask for her hand in marriage. One user wrote, “I’m raising money…To save my deceased mom’s house.” He, of course, included the GoFundMe page, so Mackenzie could presumably click to donate...
Mackenzie isn’t one to shoot down a good cause, as she signed on to support the Giving Pledge in May, which urges the world’s richest to give over half of their wealth to charity.
But with her 19.7 million shares in Amazon and $38 billion settlement, even with a little charity, Mackenzie will still be fabulously wealthy - and, if Twitter is anything to go by, fabulously eligible.
