Wilson is a capable middle linebacker at the next level. Despite only having 17 games under his belt in his collegiate career, Wilson will be one of the top players at the his position in a weaker class.
Wilson is at his best playing in space, off the line of scrimmage, and chasing the football. Wilson has short area quickness to defeat blocks and burst to close to the ball. His mobility and range are evident and he has short area quickness, which allows him to make plays both inside the tackle box and on the edge. He can play in coverage, showing to be one of his strong suits, as he tallied six interceptions 33 games.
There are some concerns in regards to his consistency. Making the jump from his sophomore to junior season, Wilson didn’t grow much development wise. He must reign in his aggressiveness a bit, especially with his pursuit angles and making tackles in the open field.
Overall, Wilson is an impressive athlete with the versatile traits to grow into a good three-down player.
