Megan Fox has revealed what happened the first time she met her boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly and let’s just say it’s left people cringing.

In an interview with British GQ, the world’s new favourite celebrity couple revealed more about their relationship, including that they had once met at a GQ Party but didn’t really click - which isn’t all that surprising when you hear what Kelly’s opening line was.

Fox explains: “I don’t remember your face… And I definitely would have remembered his face.”

She goes on: “I just remember this tall, blond, ghostly creature and I looked up and I was like, ‘You smell like weed.’ He looked down at me and he was like, ‘I am weed.’ Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb.”

“I am weed...”

Well, that’s certainly unique and maybe explains why this brief encounter didn’t immediately spark the passionate romance we see between the couple now.

Reaction to the very odd exchange between the pair has left people pretty stunned. And yes, there are memes.

Then again, if she remembered it, then it’s gotta be good for something right?

In the interview, Fox further elaborated on that first meeting and believes that the two weren’t supposed to meet that night. The 35-year-old actor said: “We weren’t supposed to run into each other that night, so our souls, our spirit guides, were luring us away from each other, because you literally had no face, like that thing from Spirited Away. It is hard to see his face in general, but really he had no face that night.”

Kelly replied by saying: “Thank God, [because] what torture had I known you were there and I couldn’t get to you. It was better that I didn’t know.”

Celebrity couples, aye? At least Fox managed to get in a nice reference to the anime masterpiece Spirited Away.
