Machetes, crack cocaine and heroin were discovered last night by police enforcing a temporary dispersal zone.
Extra officers were drafted in over the weekend to patrol Birkenhead following reports of anti-social behaviour and other criminality.
And the focus netted results with one man arrested after he was seen while carrying out a drug transaction in the area.
Enquiries led police to his flat where a large quantity of crack cocaine and heroin was uncovered.
Also seized were two machetes.
The man was taken into custody for questioning.
On Saturday, police issued seven dispersal notices and seized two bikes following recent reports that cycles have been used "aggressively and inconsiderately" over the past weeks.
The people banned from that area of Birkenhead for 48 hours were referred to Wirral Council's anti-social behaviour team.
Their parents will be informed and could get a visit from officials.

Another arrest was made for possession of Class B drugs.
The dispersal zone runs until 5pm this evening.
A similar dispersal zone was in place in parts of New Brighton this weekend following a mass beach brawl eight days earlier.
The large-scale disorder was sparked on the promenade when hundreds of people, said to be youths, gathered and a fight erupted.
A 26-year-old man and an 18-year-old boy were left injured in separate attacks close to the beach.
Later in the evening, another 18-year-old boy from Oxton was arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "We will be there[Birkenhead] to reduce serious violence by all means possible."

Community policing inspector Tom Welch of Merseyside Police added: "We're well aware of the significant impact that anti-social behaviour can have on individuals and communities, and we will be targeting people we suspect of being involved in this type of behaviour in the area.
"The vast majority of people in area are law-abiding members of the community, and I just want to remind them that this order is not about bothering people going about their legitimate daily business."
