Sri Lanka slumped to 6 for 163 after lunch as Stuart MacGill and Stuart Clark joined in on the action on day three of the second Test at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
MacGill clean-bowled Sanath Jayasuriya for 3 in the fourth over after the interval, the veteran batsman deceived by a tossed-up delivery which went straight through the gate and took off stump.
He then fizzed a leg break away from middle and off, enticing a big swipe from Chamara Silva (4) who only succeeded in edging the ball behind to Adam Gilchrist.
Captain Mahela Jayawardene then brought up his 50 for Sri Lanka but he was not receiving much support at the other end with wicket-keeper Prasanna Jayawardene snicking Clark behind for a duck.
Sri Lanka looks set to follow on again, still trailing Australia's mammoth total of 5 for 542 declared by 379 runs.

Australia made early inroads on day three with openers Marvan Atapattu and Michael Vandort unable to build greatly on their overnight scores.
Brett Lee was responsible for the dismissals of both batsmen, first removing Vandort's middle pole in just the sixth over of the day to send him packing for 14.
Four overs later he had Atapattu (25) swiping at a searing, swinging delivery which zoomed to gully and was well taken by Michael Clarke at the second attempt.
Clark opened the bowling and was tight without much luck, but the pressure eventually told just seven minutes before lunch when Mitchell Johnson dismissed danger man Kumar Sangakkara.
Sangakkara, who missed the first Test in Brisbane with a torn hamstring, slashed a delivery to Michael Hussey at gully and was dismissed for 57.
Sangakkara could quite easily have been dismissed when he was on 4, but the third umpire gave him the benefit of the doubt when Hussey could not be sure whether he took a low, diving catch at gully off Lee.
Then when he was on 13, Sangakkara edged a chance behind but wicket-keeper Adam Gilchrist somehow contrived to grass an easy chance.
