Good to see that Apple and IDG, organisers of the twice-annual MacExpos in the US, are agreeing to open talks on the future of the shows - rather than threaten to walk out on each other. At one point last week, it seems, Apple was ready to quit the US east coast show, and IDG was ready to bar Apple from January's San Francisco show. Amazing, really. No sensible conference organiser would bar the one company around which a major show revolves - and no computer company in its right mind would knock back the huge PR opportunity that are the MacWorld shows. But, as has been pointed out many times in the past, Apple is not necessarily always a computer company in its right mind...
