A man who was caught with a lethal Mac 10 machine pistol and a handgun was previously jailed for a violent attack on his partner at a holiday park in north Wales.
Norris Green man Jamie Red Hanley, 33, tried to make off from police on an electric bike after they tried to stop him on Old Mill Lane in Wavertree. When police caught up with him they found he had a Mac 10 machine pistol and a Smith and Wesson handgun. Hanley pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon and two counts of possession of ammunition. He was jailed for six years.

But the ECHO can now reveal that Hanley was previously jailed for a horrendous attack on his partner at a holdiay park. In 2016 Caernarfon Crown Court heard that Hanley's partner woke up naked on the floor of a caravan at the Hafan y Môr site near Pwllheli. Hanley had his foot on the young mum's neck.
The cour heard how Hanley hurled abuse at her, threatening to 'rape and kill her. ' The young woman, who was unconcscious throughout some of the ordeal, was repeatedly punched and kicked. She managed to escape from the caravan and her screams alerted security at the site. The woman also suffered a number of bite marks to her beck, although the skin was not broken.

Danielle Gibbons, defending, said that Hanley has issues with alcohol, drugs and steroid abuse. He pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm and possessing small amounts of cocaine and cannabis. He was jailed for 16 months.
The court also heard that in 2013 Hanley had stabbed a former partner in the leg.

Hanley is now back behind bars after being caught with firearms on April 17 in south Liverpool. Police expressed concern that Hanley, of Lorenzo Drive in Norris Green, was in possesion of what they described as 'lethal weapons.'
Detective Inspector Phil Mahon said: "It is pleasing to see a dangerous offender and two potentially lethal weapons removed from the streets of Merseyside.
"The circumstances of Hanley's arrest show that he would have been intending to use these weapons to cause serious harm in the community, actions thankfully prevented by his arrest and incarceration.
